RasaCare is your ideal caregiver training provider providing customised sessions for caregivers from the comfort of your home. The home-based training sessions are to equip the main Caregivers (Immediate Family or Foreign Domestic Worker) with skills and techniques to care for your loved one physically and emotionally, detect common symptoms and be ready for emergency situations. We also provide classroom courses for some of the programmes.

1) Basic Caregiving with a Difference
This course aims to provide caregivers and foreign domestic workers with knowledge on how to manage expectations and skills in caring for the elderly on a daily basis. Caregivers will also be taught on coping strategies to reduce the occurrence of burnout, whilst enhancing the quality of life for both caregiver and the care recipient.

2) Palliative Care (End-of-Life Care)
This course aims to provide caregivers with knowledge and skills to provide physical and emotional care to Care Recipient, so as to alleviate further suffering and optimizing the quality of life of the Care Recipient.

3) Oral / Tube Feeding Programme
This course aims to provide caregivers with knowledge and skills to provide Oral feeding and Nasogastric Tube feeding. Participants will understand the basic mechanics of swallowing and recognise normal and disordered swallowing.

4) Skin Care & Pressure Sore Programme
This course aims to equip caregivers with the knowledge of skin structure, stages of pressure sores. Caregivers will learn to about preventive measures, identification and management of pressure sores / wounds and other skin conditions.

Grants Available for Eligible Care Recipients
1) Caregivers Training Grant (CTG)
A $200 annual subsidy that lets caregivers attend approved courses to better care for their loved ones. The subsidy is provided for each care recipient every financial year (from April to March the following year). If multiple caregivers of the same care recipient wish to attend the training, the $200 would need to be shared amongst the family members. The approved courses are located above.
Requirements
- Care recipient must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Care recipient must be aged 65 and older OR have disability assessed by a doctor
- The caregiver must be the person in charge of caring for the care recipient (this can include family members and foreign domestic workers)
- Caregiver must complete the training course above and receive a certificate of attendance
2) Foreign Domestic Workers Grant (FDWG)
A $120 monthly cash payment given to families who need to hire a Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) to care for their loved ones who require permanent assistance with three or more Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). You may use the payment to offset the cost of hiring a FDW.
Requirements (refer to Silverpages for more)
- Care recipient must be EITHER a Singapore Citizen (no age limit) OR Permanent Resident (65 years or older)
- Employer must be a Singapore Citizen
- Requires 3 or more assistance, out of 6 of the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- FDW employer must be related to the loved one (same address behind both ICs)
- Household Means Test: Household monthly income must be less or equal to S$2600
- Household Means Test: If no household income: Annual value of residential property must be less than $13,000
- Caregiver must complete any of the courses listed above
3) Pioneer Generation Disability Assistance Scheme (PioneerDAS)
A part of the Pioneer Generation Package, honouring Singapore’s Pioneers. Under this scheme, Pioneers who have disabilities can receive $100 a month, which they can use for expenses.
Requirements (Refer to SilverPages for more)
- Pioneer must be born before 1950
- Pioneer must become a Singaporean resident before 1987
- Must be living in Singapore currently
- Requires 3 or more assistance, out of 6 of the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
